The estate is categorised as 5* exclusive use - it is possible to hire out the entire castle for a large group or en -suite bedrooms in our beautiful 5 star mini-manors for smaller groups or individuals.
Our motto of “escape the ordinary” informs everything we do. From the determination of the chefs to find the freshest ingredients, to the detail paid to each and every one of our unique bedrooms, with their individual names and themes. The concept of a personalised feel was born out of our owners’ frustration with the uninspiring lack of personality that they experienced in most of the top hotels. Why must everything always be beige and bland? Bland is never something that our visitors accuse us of – our food is innovative, and our design is playful and full of flair. But one thing we do share with the top establishments in the world is our obsession with pleasing you, our guests. If you’re happy; we’re happy. And that goes for every one of our staff.
Come and see for yourselves!
At Achnagairn our motto is "Escape the Ordinary” and that drives all we do. It’s a mantra we hear our staff repeating all the time. For everything we do, we ask ourselves – is that truly extraordinary? With luxury accommodation offering 5* exclusive use, outstanding food and friendly, dedicated staff who are always happy to go not just the extra mile but maybe a whole league further!
We have a 5* rating from Visit Scotland for exclusive use of the Castle, and 5* rating for the self-catering Mini Manors in the grounds, as well as a 5* AA rating for catered accommodation on the estate. The level of luxury and pride in what we do is just as palpable in Table Manors Restaurant. Our highly talented young chefs, both of whom have won the Young Highland Chef of the Year award, have received the coveted AA Two Rosettes for culinary excellence and have recently been awarded ‘’Restaurant of The Year” by Highlands and Island Food and Drink Awards 2018.
Not just the extra mile- we go a whole league further for our guests!

Achnagairn Castle ranked top of the Best UK Wedding Venues by Harper's Bazaar Magazine.
The castle was built around 1812, and despite undergoing a major refurbishment, it has been restored to its former glory and still retains many period features.
Why not read more about the grand history that has shaped Achnagairn Castle.
Please note that the castle can only be hired on an exclusive use basis, i.e. All bedrooms, reception rooms and the ballroom taken together.
The estate has all you would expect from a luxury venue: enormous and beautifully fitted rooms, marble bathrooms with whirlpool baths, stunning grounds, great service and gourmet food but beyond that, we have three characteristics that truly stand out:
The rooms are all luxurious with a 5* standard, and yet still retain a unique boutique feel. Individuality has always been our ethos: each bedroom (Castle and Mini Manors) is specially designed, with its own name and feel/theme. No two are alike.
Achnagairn Estate boasts a 24 bedroom historic castle, complete with vaulted ballroom - the only one in the Highlands. Available on an exclusive use basis only.
Featuring seven spacious mini-manors a stone’s throw from the castle, we offer both history and 60 en-suite bedrooms (24 in the castle, and 36 in the mini manors).
A historic Scottish Highlands Castle full of character, the ideal get-a-way for anyone.
We also offer B&B and self-catering options in our 7 luxury Mini Manors, located in the estate grounds. You can hire an entire Mini Manor for exclusive use with 5-6 bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 guests, starting at £700 per night or an individual ensuite room (B&B) from £100 per night.
If you are after just one or two rooms for your stay, we offer gorgeous, individually designed ensuite bedrooms in several large houses clustered round the restaurant. We have called them Mini Manors, because they are too grand to be cottages, too big to be lodges, and too Scottish to be villas. So what are they? Each has 5-6 bedrooms, and you are welcome to take individual bedrooms or all 6. Overnight stays are available including only breakfast, or with a dinner in our award-winning Table Manors restaurant.
You can rent an entire Mini Manor on an exclusive use basis. These 5/6 bedroom Manors are ideal for groups of friends or colleagues looking for a stay in a fabulously designed house. These Mini Manors have gorgeous kitchens and living rooms for your group to relax. Your group has the choice of self-catering, or indulging and dining in the restaurant on the grounds.
We have 7 large Mini Manors, each with 5 – 6 bedrooms & sleeping 10-12 people, meaning that we can sleep up to 76 people across 38 bedrooms.
Spacious & Contempary- Achnagairn's Mini Manors are perfect for any group and any event.
If you are looking for gourmet food and locally-sourced produce, Table Manors Restaurant, located in the estate grounds- is the ultimate culinary experience. Come and enjoy their creations at the restaurant for an exquisite experience that will both amaze and delight your senses!
