A glorious setting for wedding photos
Achnagairn Castle is set in 30 acres of woodland and elegantly manicured formal gardens. It is magical for wedding photos whatever the time of year, excellent for hosting activities for the wedding party, and glorious for an outdoor wedding when the sun is out.
The formal gardens
The formal gardens make for an elegant and refined backdrop for your wedding photos, whether you choose to have them under the glorious stone arch, by the central obelisk, or against the towering trees.
Getting married in the grounds
The grounds of Achnagairn are so lovely that many couples choose to say "I do" in the open air (when the Scottish weather holds out!). The stone arch at the bottom of the garden or the obelisk in the centre of the formal gardens make a perfect aisle.
Outdoor drinks receptions
Even when they don't choose to hold the whole wedding outside, when it is good weather, couples also choose to spill out on to the lawns for drinks and the throwing of the confetti.
Activities on the lawns
in terms of activities, there is plenty that can be organised on the grounds. From a relaxed game of croquet, to archery, clay pigeon shooting or even full Highland games.
