12 Unique & beautifully designed bedrooms

Cortes Manor House’s bedrooms are its crowning glory. We had such fun designing each one to be entirely unique, with its own name, theme, and individual quirks! The house sleeps up to 30 in 12 bedrooms (10 in the main house, and 2 further rooms available upon request), making it ideal for a group escape. The rooms are all designed around a central atrium, so it’s always easy to find each other just across the landing, whichever room you are in.

On the first floor, there are 6 bedrooms. These are spacious, light rooms, with vast bathrooms. It becomes easy to imagine yourself as Lord and Lady of the manor, waking in one of the bedrooms’ four-poster beds, and pulling back the elegant shutters to let light flood into the room. Each of these rooms has a double or king size bed, and two are triples.

The second floor has a further 4 bedrooms. Two of these are family rooms, sleeping three or four people, and one even has a secret ‘hideaway’ to delight our younger visitors! These bedrooms are closest to the stunning cupola that sits at the top of the house, filling it with light during the day. You can see the delicate cornicing that surrounds it when you look up close from the top of the house.

The final two bedrooms (available upon request for large groups) are situated on the lower ground floor. These are both triples, each with an ensuite bathroom.

First Floor

The first floor is where you will find most of the bedrooms in the house.

HIGHLAND FLING

The master bedroom of the house. A huge room, with a four poster and tartan theme.

The vast bathroom has painted murals on the wall and features a two seater bath and built in shower.

MORAY FIRTH

An equally vast room, the mirror image of Highland Fling, with a purple theme.

The bathroom has two leaping dolphins tiled into the wall above the whirlpool bath.

SOLYMAR

A bright triple bedroom, with a yellow and blue theme.

The large ensuite bathroom has a bath and shower.

PAPILLON

Such a fun room. Bright pink, with butterflies adorning the curtain patterns. A double bed and extra single.

The bathroom has butterflied tiled into the wall, and a whirlpool bath.

NAVAL GAZING & THE THINKER

Two charming double bedrooms, with kind beds.

The two share a large shower room.

Second Floor

The second floor has four further bedrooms.

TROPICS & MONT BLANC

Each of these two are friendly and colourful double bedrooms on the top floor, with ensuite bathrooms each with a bath.

HIDEAWAY

A larger room with one double bed and one single. It has a private bathroom with a bath.

Perfect for children, Hideaway has a little hidden cupboard, the perfect size for smaller people, complete with hand-painted walls and a selection of toys!

BLUE ROOM

The Blue Room sleeps 4 people, with one double and two single beds.

Bright and colourful, it has a private bathroom with a bath.

Lower Ground Floor

The lower ground floor has two further triple bedrooms, available on request.

TRIPLE BEDROOMS

The two lower ground floor bedrooms are spacious triple rooms, although not quite as light as the bedrooms in the main house!

Each has an ensuite bathroom.
