The house is large, but never imposing. Elegant, but not fusty. Spacious, but with an intimate feel. It makes for a magical venue. Our approach is to give you a blank canvas for your wedding: to allow you to choose exactly how you would like it.

Exclusive Use historic mansion

Be the Laird and Lady of all you survey with the privacy of an exclusive use mansion for your wedding. Cortes House is a historical regency house, built in 1810.

Total elegance

Cortes has a glass-topped atrium that floods the house with light, whatever the weather. The reception rooms are high ceilinged, with marble fireplaces and delicate cornicing.

Accommodation for up to 30 people

Cortes can sleep up to 30 people in 12 beautiful, individually designed rooms, meaning your family and friends can stay over for the wedding, so it isn’t over in a flash!

Space For A Marquee

Up to 50 people can dine in the manor house in a single reception room; up to 75 if you interconnect two rooms and up to 120 if you choose to hire a marquee in the grounds.

The Bridal Suite

The bridal suite with its 4 poster bed and delicate murals in the vast bathroom is a true gem!

Flexible Dining

Dining is flexible at Cortes: we can help supply catering, or allow you to provide your own.

Only 50 minutes from Aberdeen city centre and 40 minutes from the airport - Cortes is easy to get to, for all your guests.
