A grand, Regency mansion, filled with character
Cortes House is a beautiful setting. It has a four star exclusive use rating from Visit Scotland, and can accommodate up to 30 people in 12 beautiful bedrooms. Despite its grand size, it always charms guests with its friendly feel. Each of its rooms has been individually designed, from the high-ceilinged reception rooms to the elegant bedrooms.

The Atrium
Cortes House has been beautifully designed around a central atrium, with all of the rooms symmetrically arranged. The cupola in the centre floods the house with light.
The Reception Rooms
Cortes has a number of elegant reception rooms for relaxing, entertaining, or simply admiring!
The Kitchen
The kitchen is a focal point of the house - well stocked to cook for everyone staying, and comfortable enough for everyone to gather in it.
The Bedrooms
There are 10 bedrooms in the main house, split across two levels, and a further two bedrooms on the lower ground floor. Each one is full of character and individually designed.
The Grounds
Cortes House has a peaceful and quiet setting, surrounded by woodland and with its own lawns and secret garden to enjoy.
The History
The current house was built in 1812, in the Georgian era. It is a beautiful example of Regency architecture.
