The Highlands are one of the most beautiful places in the world to drive, with dramatic roads and stunning scenery. The North Coast 500 (which has been developed as five hundred miles of gorgeous routes around the north coast of Scotland) is on our doorstep. In fact, Achnagairn Estate is fortunate to be at the start and finish of this iconic route. What that means is that you can stay in total luxury whilst preparing for your drive, or indeed, at the end, celebrating how well you have done! All whilst remaining safe and socially distanced.
With 62 bedrooms on the estate, we can welcome large car rallies (although likely only after social distancing ends...) – up to 130 people. In this case, you have a huge variety of accommodation options. In the shorter term, we would love to welcome smaller car groups.
For a large group, Achnagairn Castle is ideal. It sleeps up to 55 guests in the 24 luxury, unique bedrooms. Large groups can also host a gala dinner in the ballroom.
Our Mini Manors have five or six bedrooms and sleep 10 - 12 people. Renting multiple Manors is ideal for a car rally group - the whole group can stay together, and we would be happy to organise a large meal for a group in the restaurant or castle. In this situation, the separate groups can remain socially distanced.
For smaller groups of rallies or drivers, you may choose to rent one five or six bedroom Mini Manor, sleeping 10 - 12 people.
Of course, if you are here for a car rally, the probability is that you simply want to drive! However, do think of investigating wider activities, as in the Highlands, we are fortunate in being able to offer a plethora of things to do.
For a large group, we can arrange activities in the grounds of the estate, such as Highland Games or Whisky tastings.
We can also arrange for activities further afield, such as golf, a private helicopter tour, or a private sunset cruise on Loch Ness (sightings of the monsters are almost always guaranteed, as long as you have opted for the whisky tasting beforehand!).
