Kitchen

Like in any big house, the kitchen invariably becomes the central meeting point for guests at Cortes. This is where meals are prepared, teas are made, and snacks are stolen. It is the perfect size for a group – large enough for people to mill about or make themselves busy, and well enough stocked with space and appliances to cook a meal to feed 30 people. There are three large fridges, two freezers, and two dishwashers.

Although most guests choose to prepare their own meals in the house, there are times where the last thing you want to do is cook for 30 people, and for those times we would be delighted to help you arrange private catering. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, you name it.

The kitchen also has a door opening out onto the garden, and you will often find muddied boots sitting outside from a day out exploring the grounds.

For larger celebrations, this is also the space used by caterers to prepare wedding breakfasts and gala dinners. Guests will then dine in the dining room.
