The first Mini Manor on the Estate is located right next to our award winning restaurant. Great Scott is a tongue-in-cheek look at all that is Scottish. From stags to our treasured writers the Mini Manor steers away from the overwhelming amounts of tartan and fusty decor and instead has a fresh and clean cut but yet undeniably Scottish feel.

RECEPTION ROOMS

Relax in style in the large lounge or even larger kitchen. The comfortable lounge room has a playful take on the stags that often adorn the walls of traditional Scottish properties. One is bright yellow and another is about to walk out of the room!

These spaces make a huge difference to your stay, especially if you are with family and friends. A great place to chat and relax in true comfort. Equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD player this large room is perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring the highlands.

You will find this kitchen as well stocked with utensils and equipment as your own home. Wake up to breakfast with a view from the dining table that overlooks a stunning glen, and unwind at night with a drink perfectly chilled in the wine fridge. With its lacquered red finish, this kitchen is elegance itself.

Bedrooms

You will find 5 bedrooms in Great Scott: one on the ground floor and four on the first floor. Each has a TV. As with every room on the estate each has its own unique personality and decor. From the cosy yet bright and fresh ‘Sir Walter’ to the vast ‘Thistle inspire you’, there is a room to suit everybody.

Yes We Clan

Yes We Clan’s is located on the ground floor and is decorate in rich Autumnal colours with a classic but subtle traditional Scottish feel. The bathroom has a large open shower and, in common with all the ground floor bedrooms in the Mini-Manors, is suitable for those with mobility issues.

Sir Walter

The great writer is supposedly an ancestor of our owners: the Lacey-Solymar family. His books adorn the walls in this snug room but beware, if you get too engrossed you may not leave your room for your entire stay!

Loch’ D Out

This very comfortable room is decorated with pictures and paintings of nearby lochs with the colours of the room reflecting the moody greys and blues of icy Highland lochs. The large bathroom has stone tiles and shower.

Sleeping Beauly

This room is very spacious with a separate dressing room and a beautiful view out over the hills. The pun (as you may have noticed we have a weakness for those!) is based on the renowned local village of Beauly whose ancient priory is reminiscent of a medieval fairy-tale and where the Fraser family that the Outlander series is based on originate from.

Thistle Inspire You

While the room sizes get bigger and better, the puns get more and more groan-worthy! With the thistle being the national symbol of Scotland we just couldn’t resist the play on words. The enormous bedroom has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a large bath and overhead shower. The view is also gorgeous – right across the Mini Manors towards a stunning glen.
