There are so many different accommodation options on the estate - it just depends what you are looking for. However long or short your visit, however formal or informal the event you attend, we aim to make your stay truly memorable - from the moment you say hello to the point when sadly, you have to leave. Achnagairn is seven miles from Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, and you can either stay in the castle itself, or in one of our Mini Manors on the grounds. Wherever you stay, the principle is the same. We invite you to “Escape the Ordinary” with us, because we believe every guest should leave Achnagairn Estate inspired, refreshed and invigorated.
The historic castle has a 5* rating from Visit Scotland for exclusive use, and is so often described by our guests as “breathtaking” (we do not use the word lightly!). With 24 individually designed bedrooms and a vaulted ballroom, it is hard not to be wowed.
As the majority of our guests tend to rent the whole castle, we only rarely offer bookings of individual bedrooms, but when we do (generally in the summer), you can choose one of the uniquely designed rooms to be yours for the night!
There are seven luxury Mini Manors on the grounds of the estate, each with 5 or 6 bedrooms. Rent a whole Mini Manor if you are looking for luxury self-catering.
If you don’t fancy renting an entire Mini Manor, you can book an individual boutique B&B en-suite bedroom. Booking a bedroom still gives you access to the living areas and the grounds of the Mini Manor.
For a large group, having exclusive use of all 7 Mini Manors might suit. Host your whole group close together with 38 bedrooms to call your own. And of course, if you rent out all the Mini Manors then you also have exclusive use of the parkland around it too.
Should you wish to book the castle the Mini Manors, and the restaurant, then that is the ultimate in privacy. We regularly hire out all the accommodation on the estate for large weddings, corporate events or other parties and celebrations: exclusive use of Achnagairn Estate gives you 62 rooms for over 130 people.
Achnagairn Estate is made up of: Achnagairn Castle, Mini-Manors and Table Manors - our 5 star, AA Rosette restaurant. See our map (left) to show the relative closeness on each property.
Achnagairn also has an award-winning restaurant, Table Manors, on the estate. The chefs are passionate about fine local food and their attention to detail when creating their superb dishes has won them two AA Rosettes as well as the coveted award for Restaurant of the Year in the Highlands. The restaurant is open to residents and non-residents alike, although, it too can be hired for private groups on an exclusive use basis.
