Part-time | Corporate & Leisure Focus
About the Role
At Achnagairn, we are best known for our weddings, but there is so much more to what we offer. This role is all about helping us grow that side of the business, building on what we already do and opening up new opportunities.
We are looking for a driven, personable and proactive Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team, with a particular focus on corporate and leisure group business. This is a key role within the business, helping to shape how we present Achnagairn beyond weddings and bringing new clients to the estate.
You will be part of a close-knit team, working in a hands-on and collaborative environment, but with real ownership over this area of the business. It is a role that suits someone who enjoys getting out, meeting people, spotting opportunities and building relationships over time.
At its core, this is about introducing Achnagairn to the right people in the right way. Whether that is a corporate group looking for a retreat, a travel planner building a Highland itinerary, or a leisure group looking for something a little different, you will help them see what is possible here.
The Role
Business Development & Partnerships – This is a proactive, outward-facing role, focused on building relationships rather than responding to inbound enquiries. You will spend time identifying potential clients and partners, reaching out to them, and developing connections with corporate bookers, travel planners, tour operators and agents. Over time, you will build a network that generates consistent interest in Achnagairn.
Corporate & Leisure Sales – You will present Achnagairn as a destination for retreats, group stays and experiences, helping potential clients understand how the estate can work for them. This will involve shaping conversations, responding thoughtfully to enquiries and tailoring ideas and proposals to suit different types of groups.
Market Development – You will take time to understand where the opportunities are, researching target markets and identifying where Achnagairn sits within them. This may involve attending networking events, trade shows or industry gatherings, and thinking creatively about how we position ourselves within these spaces.
Marketing & Positioning – Working alongside the wider team, you will help shape how we communicate our corporate and leisure offering. This includes contributing to messaging, ensuring consistency and making sure that what we say reflects the experience we deliver.
Planning & Reporting – Alongside the outward-facing side of the role, you will keep a clear and organised view of activity. This includes tracking outreach, maintaining records of contacts and opportunities, and supporting longer-term planning around pipeline, conversions and growth.
About You
This role suits someone who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities. You will be confident speaking to people externally, comfortable representing the brand and able to adapt your approach depending on who you are speaking to.
You will be proactive and self-motivated, with a natural commercial awareness and an understanding of how partnerships and sales develop over time. Organisation is important, as much of the role involves consistent outreach and follow-up, as well as keeping track of conversations and opportunities.
A background in corporate sales, hospitality, travel, events or luxury markets would be helpful, but just as important is your approach. We are looking for someone who is warm, credible and thoughtful in how they communicate, and who enjoys being part of a team while also taking ownership of their area.
Role Details
This is a part-time role with flexibility around how time is structured and where you are based, depending on the right person.
The role involves a mix of time on-site and external engagement, including meetings, networking and industry events where appropriate.
