With Burns Night soon approaching in Inverness, we thought we’d take a moment to think on Scotland’s greatest poet: full of words of wisdom that resonate with us at Achnagairn.
My Heart’s in the Highlands
So goes one of Robbie Burns’s most famous lines of poetry. Since his poems were published back in the eighteenth century, these lines have captured hearts and imaginations. The Scots’ most famous poet is particularly relevant for us at Achnagairn – situated 7 miles from Inverness up in the Highlands. Though a weekend spent at Achnagairn may come to an end, we are sure there is always a bit of our guests’ hearts left up in the Highlands – all those happy memories of a beautiful Scottish stay.

Well, on January 25th as we all know, he has his big day! And how best to celebrate this great Scot? With a Burns Night Inverness Party! At Achnagairn, you can either take an individual bedroom in our Lodges, or a whole lodge itself to celebrate with family and friends!
