Full-time | On-site | 12-month maternity cover (from May 2026)
Achnagairn Castle is a five-star, exclusive-use venue set in the Scottish Highlands. We specialise in immersive, multi-day celebrations and host weddings for couples from across the UK and internationally.
Weddings are at the heart of everything we do at Achnagairn. This is a key role within our team, helping to shape and deliver the celebrations that define the castle.
Our wonderful Alison, who has been an integral part of the weddings team, is heading on maternity leave, and we are looking for someone to step into her role and support our couples during this time. There is also potential for the role to continue beyond this period, depending on how things develop.
We are looking for a warm, organised and proactive Wedding Coordinator, or someone who could grow into the role through a Trainee position. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit, hands-on team where weddings are deeply personal and no two events are ever the same.
At Achnagairn, whatever the question is, we always try to find a way to make it a yes for our couples. This role is all about supporting that approach, helping to guide each couple through their planning and bringing everything together seamlessly across their time at the castle.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication & Planning – You will be a key point of contact for couples from the point of booking, supporting planning calls, guiding them through decisions and helping shape their ideas into clear, well-structured plans.
Supplier Coordination – You will work closely with caterers and suppliers to ensure everyone is aligned, with clear timings, logistics and expectations ahead of the wedding.
Planning & Detail Management – You will support the creation and management of detailed wedding plans, ensuring all information is accurate, organised and shared clearly with the wider team.
On-the-Day Coordination – You will be present across the wedding days, helping to coordinate timings, manage suppliers and ensure everything runs smoothly, while acting as a calm and reassuring presence for couples and guests.
Guest & Venue Experience – You will support the wider guest experience throughout the stay, from arrivals through to the overall flow of the wedding, working closely with the team to create something that feels seamless and well considered.
About You
This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in detail and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once, while maintaining a warm and professional approach. You will also be comfortable working evenings and weekends, as part of the rhythm of events.
For a Wedding Coordinator role, experience in weddings, events or hospitality planning is preferred. For a Trainee role, a strong interest in weddings and events, along with a willingness to learn, is key.
If you enjoy bringing plans to life, working closely with people, and being part of meaningful celebrations, we would love to hear from you.
This is a maternity cover role with potential for longer-term opportunities.
