Log fires and warm furs are the stuff of Scottish fairytales. Certainly, the romance of a Scottish castle conjures images of frosty days and cosiness in from the cold. Well, with winter weddings at Achnagairn, we aim to bring that same magic (without any of the draughty halls of some castles!).

Okay, we may not be able to guarantee snow. But we can guarantee majestic grounds if snowflakes do choose their moment to float down from the wintry skies. Even without snow itself, crisp days can be stunning at the castle.

A future bright… by candlelight
Part of the beauty of a wedding in Scotland is that guests aren't alway expecting sun as they make their plans. Having said that, we do remarkably often get lucky at Achnagairn.
But the beautiful ballroom makes leaning into the wintry theme all the easier: helping create an intimate, romantic atmosphere with the warm colour of the wooden hall, topped off with beautiful candles. Have twinkling candles for the ceremony, complemented by twinkling fairy lights for the meal and the evening.

In the winter months, we keep the fires blazing at Achnagairn to keep you and your guests warm and toasty. And with a cosy feel in the reception rooms, and a roaring party in the ballroom, you will keep your guests’ blood pumping as they dance the night away!
Did we mention they can all stay the night too? No need for taxis home in the cold when we can sleep all your guests on the estate...
