Every girl dreams of that fairy tale wedding and here at Perfect Manors we work to make that dream come true
This Scottish wedding venue has survived its fair share of history. Built in the 1600’s this venue has managed to stand in all its glory through events that have taken down many other Scottish castles. Achnagairn Castle was built on ancient cairn grounds and has a Latin plaque on its reception hall wall as a reminder of all it has held strong through. The plaque translates to ‘Peaceful but Prepared for Battle’ as it has worked and survived through many wars and battles. Restored to show off all its well earned glory, this is the perfect location to represent a strong love that can overcome anything.

Every girl dreams of that fairy tale wedding and here at Perfect Manors we work to make that dream come true. Achnagairn castle is the perfect place to write the last chapter to your Cinderella story. Surround by archers of stunning grounds and luxurious style throughout, it’s no wonder that this was voted the Highlands “Best Wedding Venue” by the Scottish Wedding Awards and named Best Wedding Venue in the UK by the prestigious Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. This venue is always looking for a new love story so, set the last chapter of your perfect fairy tale, in the perfect venue. It’s sure to win over all your guests and be the wedding your friends idolise for years.
Make your wedding full of new memories
Another fact uncommonly known about this Scottish wedding venue is that the castle was transformed into a hospital during World War Two. The ballroom was filled with beds to nurse injured soldiers until they regained their strength. To entertain themselves during their recovery they would play a game whereby they threw each others clothes and tried to get them onto the elephant tusk that hangs in the ballroom. This was in Inverness during the 1940’s, which of course, if you are an Outlander fan was the time that the opening scenes were set with Claire and her husband visiting Inverness before she was transported back in time. If you’re a fan of this series and ready to marry your own Jamie in a wedding location worth putting on a Hollywood screen, then Achnagairn castle is the perfect setting for your own magical love story.
It's all about the time you can borrow with your new spouse
Now that you have learnt a bit about the castle worth setting the ultimate chapter in all great love stories, there is no reason to wait to start planning your own fairy tale ending. But there’s nothing to be blue about here, so you will need to bring your own something blue.
