Achnagairn Estate is based only 7 miles from Inverness city centre, and barely half an hour from the airport, making us the perfect spot to explore the Highlands as holidays are allowed again! Staycation in Scotland - stop by Achnagairn on a trip up to Skye, drive the iconic North Coast 500 route, discover the Loch Ness 360 trail, beautiful Glen Afric or simply explore the area around Achnagairn. With Loch Ness and championship golf courses all within 45 minutes of the estate, you will have plenty to do in safe and beautiful surrounds.
We offer different types of accommodation across the estate. What each has in common is a 5* self catering rating, and a 100% cleanliness rating from Visit Scotland. We offer self-catering stays in five or six bedroom “Mini-Manors”, or even a self catering stay in our very grand castle. It all depends on what kind of break you are looking for…
Secluded and secure: the perfect spot from which to explore the Highlands post-lockdown.
We are so close to lockdown freedom! Our Mini Manors make the ideal spot for a family or friend reunion. Sleeping up to 12 people in 5 or 6 bedrooms, and with fabulously spacious and exquisitely designed kitchens and living rooms, you couldn't find a better spot for a getaway.
All Mini Manors are self catering, but we have excellent private catering options or restaurant recommendations if you want to push the boat out for your stay!
Prices below are given for our 5 and 6 bedroom Mini Manors for Spring and Summer 2021. Mini Manors are bookable through our online booking system, or enquire directly for availability!

If you are a larger group or several households travelling together you may want to hire more than one Mini-Manor on the estate. As we have seven of them in total that is obviously not a problem. Or alternatively, why not really push the boat out and think about taking the whole castle. The ballroom is so huge that social distancing is not a problem.
The Highlands are one of the most beautiful places in the world to drive, with dramatic roads and stunning scenery. The North Coast 500 (which has been developed as five hundred miles of gorgeous routes around the north coast of Scotland) is on our doorstep, and an ideal way for car-lovers to get out in a socially distanced way! In fact, Achnagairn Estate is fortunate to be at the start and finish of this iconic route. What that means is that you can stay in total luxury whilst preparing for your drive, or indeed, at the end, celebrating how well you have done!
Whether you’re after a break as a family or group of friends, we’d love to help you Escape the Ordinary.
Cortes House is a manor house in Aberdeenshire, ideal for family breaks or groups of friends. Large enough for everyone to have their own space (you can even invite the in-laws without any worry!), but intimate enough to feel like you are truly bonding with your nearest and dearest.
The house has 10 main bedrooms and allows up to 30 people to stay in total luxury.
Depending on the size of your group, it's best that we have a chat and tailor the best option to fit your requirements.
If you know what you are after, you can also book a 5 or 6 bedroom Mini Manor online through our website.
