Scottish luxury lodges

Achnagairn – our boutique hotel near Inverness – does not only consist of a beautiful castle, but also has 38 bedrooms within its Scottish luxury lodges, situated 200 metres from the castle and close to Table Manors, Achnagairn’s restaurant, where breakfast is served from 7-10am daily.

Each of the lodge bedrooms has been individually designed around its own theme, so every one is full of character. The mattresses are deep and inviting, the throws are sumptuous, and the design is stunning. Our bathrooms too are glorious, each decorated quite differently. Some have coloured tiles, others travertine stone, but every one luxurious and elegant. Achnagairn’s Scottish luxury lodges are certainly some of the best bedrooms you will find in any boutique hotel near Inverness.

Scottish luxury lodges bathroom with sunken bath

Unusually for a boutique hotel, guests in the lodge bedrooms have access to a large kitchen and dining area within their lodge, so you are able to use the excellent cooking facilities if you choose. Each lodge also has a comfortable sitting room, with a large flat screen TV and DVD player.

Here is a sample description of some of the bedrooms at the lodges:

“Arabian Knights” – this sumptuous room has the look and feel of a Moroccan townhouse, complete with Arabian lamps and leather foot-stools.

“Three Men in a Boat” – based on Jerome K Jerome’s iconic novel. This room has a full size rowing boat built into its wall and a bathroom that transports you (metaphorically of course) to the open sea!

“Knight Knight” – this suite has a private dressing room and a mediaeval theme to its art and furniture.

“Que Seurat Sera” – this room is themed around the famous post-impressionist artist, Georges Seurat.

“Thistle Inspire You” – a lovely room with great views over the valley, with some quirky representations of Scotland’s national flower!
