Cortes House is a beautiful exclusive use venue in Aberdeenshire, one of the most special holiday houses in Scotland. Sleeping up to 30 people in 12 individually designed bedrooms, Cortes is the perfect venue for a family get-together, a group holiday, or even a brilliant party!

There are few places quite as unique as Cortes House. Because each bedroom and reception room has been individually thought through, you will find some delightful design gems throughout the house. From delicate cornicing in every room, to a tucked-away globe that also acts as a drinks cabinet, Cortes’ quirks will delight the entire group.

The elegance of the house should not be downplayed either. The whole mansion Kitchen in Cortes Houseis designed around a central atrium, with a cupola sitting up above, flooding the entrance hall with light. The classical theme of this impressive space is continued through the Grecian statues you will find in the niches – goddesses and noble busts welcome you into the atrium.

But this elegance is never overwhelming. Ideal for family and friends looking for holiday houses in Scotland to stay together – with a spacious kitchen, dining room, and three further lovely reception rooms: The Library, filled with books for you to tuck up and read by the fire, The Red Room, which is always airy and light with wonderfully comfortable sofas, and the main Drawing Room, with an impressive stag gazing down at you from above the mantle-piece. The whole group can eat and relax together in the large Living room with table and vase of flowers on it at Cortes Housedining room, as it can seat up to 55 people. We also have a cinema room, and a room dedicated to table tennis, where, if the weather is less than perfect, you can fill the hours energetically.

Cortes is also set in lovely gardens. The lawn just in front of the house is perfect for lounging in summer, or enjoying a game or a picnic outside. Then, there is the ‘secret garden’, where guests go through a simple hedgerow to discover a charming space behind, with a table and chairs to enjoy the garden as you have tea.
