The owners of Achnagairn have three children and were always looking for holidays that could offer something fun for everyone – beautiful surroundings, excellent food and wine for the grown-ups, and something a bit more fun and quirky for the kids!
There is something for the whole family on Achnagairn estate, it just depends how many of you there are, and how you are looking to stay. We offer different types of accommodation for families.
The Mini Manors are large 5 / 6 bedroom houses with a 5* rating, sleeping between 10 and 12 people. They are ideal for families, with spacious kitchens and living rooms for everyone to relax.
You are able to book individual B&B bedrooms in the Mini Manors, and we have a number of lovely Family rooms. Some have multiple double beds in a room together; some have a mix of doubles and twins, but each is completely individual and completely beautiful!
Available only occasionally for individual bookings, the castle bedrooms are the ultimate decadence. We have two Family Suites available. One is The Old Nursery – a vast and beautiful ensuite room with two double beds and one single, for the whole family to pile in; the other is two rooms: Rainbow, a brightly coloured double room, and Pot of Gold, a room with two single beds. This suite has a shared, interconnecting bathroom.
In the Highlands, we are fortunate in being able to offer a huge number of things to do. From cruises along Loch Ness for the whole family to explore Urquart castle, or with a trip to Culloden battlefield.
Achnagairn has an exquisite Two AA Rosette restaurant on the estate, called Table Manors. Book a family dinner for your stay, starting from £35 for three courses, or we could organise a catered meal in your private Mini Manor.
