The way that the house is run for weddings is a little different from how they do it elsewhere. We rent the house out on an exclusive basis. By "exclusive" we mean that the house and grounds will be for the use of only your family and friends during that period. That includes the grounds, all the reception rooms, the ballroom, the home cinema and the many bedrooms. This means that, for the period of your stay, the mansion is yours and yours alone.
For a wedding or event you are welcome to invite up to 260 guests for the day and evening. For an elegant sit down meal up to 160 can be accommodated in the ballroom, but there are several other reception areas where the meal can be held if the group is smaller. We do not stipulate any minimum numbers.
For the catering we work with a high quality select panel of caterers. They will prepare the meal for you and provide the staff to serve it.
Alcohol Licence - Achnagairn House holds an alcohol licence and has a fully stocked bar. We will provide a staffed bar for you at no extra cost, whether it is paid for by the wedding couple or is run as a cash bar. We would also be delighted to furnish you with our wine and champagne list.
