The ballroom was built in 1911 for the 21st birthday party of the owner’s daughter and now hosts wedding ceremonies, family parties, charity balls or corporate conferences.

It has retained its original splendour, from the massive fireplace topped with the family’s coat of arms to the oak panelled walls and the hand carved gargoyles in the vaulted ceilings.

It seats up to 160 for a splendid sit down meal. We provide 5ft round tables and red banqueting chairs. Adorned with flowers and candles, there is arguably no finer place to celebrate a wedding, special occasion or corporate get-together. A sense of history emanates from the stone walls and it is easy to imagine that this room has always been dedicated to gatherings of true significance.

Standing proud above the ballroom is a unique minstrels’ gallery, accessed by two atmospheric stone staircases, which wind their way upwards past large stone windows. Idea for additional seating or for a piper to strut his stuff - or just for general "watching the proceedings"!
